With Mann and Makiniemi at the forefront and Gaudreau and Beaupit in the long term prospect spot Sharks have no need for Dipietro. and a 4th wont do it. 2nd has long been the asking price and with Reimer not wanting to leave i feel it stays there.

Honestly that’s fair, I was thinking of an upgrade in net who can be a backup and Riemer was the first guy I thought of.

no if your going into the playoffs it's not a bad thing to have, but I assume sharks are content to play him and Kahkonen this year until a team has an injury to their starter and then make that team pay! and the sharks LOVE him and his locker room presence and play so even if no one comes calling and we keep him it's not a bad option there either. Kahkonen thinks the world of him and hes been a really good mentor for him.

We don't really need a backup, Spencer Martin was good last year in limited time
