Seems like a big overpay for a high priced rental without retention.

I'd say this isn't far off from what a trade for Kane will look like, but it's still a hard pill for anyone to swallow.

A team that does a move similar to this for Kane HAS TO BE a top 5 team in the league with very high chances of winning the cup. It's the only way you can make sense of giving up the value, because it's going to be high.

Islanders aren't the right team.
