I assume we're gonna make it to the beginning of the regular season before the end of this thread (if last thread's longevity is anything to go by), so no pre-season for you this time.

On another note, happy spooky month everyone. I hope you're ready for some spooks and scares and stuff

Got a feeling Radim Zohorna is gonna do well in Calgary as to me this is a Sutter guy. Pitt would have used him more if they werent so deep

Probs means Eakin or Milano will be released from their PTO or Ruzidka gets waived but either way Radim Zohorna should do good for the third line

He's never struck me as anything huge, but in a Sutter system I think he may trick a team into thinking he's more than just a bottom 6 forward. If Calgary comes out of the preseason with Eakin, Milano, and Zohorna, I think they'll have well improved their bottom 6.

I could see Trey Fix-Wolansky being claimed today, would be a nice bottom 6 add for teams

You got to think someone claims Boulet right as to me there is enough talent to not be in the AHL

Like honestly WPG should grab him as they need LW's or if Malgin, Robertson and Holmberg werent impressing I would say Toronto should take a look.

I would love to get Ruzicka from Calgary. I really like him alot and think he can be a sneaky depth-scoring on a tough 4th line.

He could definitely fix the bottom six of a couple of teams in the league.

I would add Barré-Boulet, Phillips, and Studenic could all help some teams 4th line also

Barré-Boulet I feel probs would be higher. Could see him as a 2nd/3rd liner on the right team as to what team no idea. As hes got the talent but Tampa be to deep for him rn

Oh, I'd be all over that. Not that the Leafs have a pressing need for him, but I'd f*cking want him.

Is NJD actually going to waive him? After losing Studenic for nothing I would be surprised to see him go to. But yes, there is some nice potential there.

Agreed, Leafs need some depth D options

Not gonna lie its kind of a bullet dodged for Toronto not to have traded for Talbot as man the panic would be real as our tandem to start would be Samsonov/Kallgren and that could have been costly. As if Sammy struggled I dont think Kallgren would be considered a long term kind of solution guy. Also would have made Campbell going look even worse

Either way though it sucks for Talbot poor guy, had something to prove and now its gonna be delayed. And by the time hes back he could be once again seeing the 1b job behind Forsberg something he really was not wanting considering what we heard in Minnesota

Zetterlund for POJ there solved. Pitt can then waive Archibald

As I dont think Nemec plays past 9 games this season so NJ can then have a Dcore of

Graves-Hamilton
Sieg-Severson
POJ-Marino

Devils have Siegenthaler, graves, and Bahl on the left side. Zetterlund would be a great fit on PItt , he would score 25+ with Crosby or Malkin

They really do. Y'know who I was pretty baffled they didn't QO; Rubins. I thought he was a perfectly serviceable call-up. Just kinda came in and played a pretty unnoticeable game (in a good way).

Bahl is waiver exempt and POJ has some chemistry with Marino. I could see it working out well for both sides. Yes it means Pitt has to waive either Archibald or Poeheling but they might look into it

As then in 2023 once Graves leaves Bahl can be NJ third pair Dman

True but like the Leafs I could see NJD prioritizing the guys who can't pass through waivers over the younger and potentially better player.

All of Holtz, Foote, and Thompson do not require waivers. The battle for Zetterlund will come down to Johnsson's health and Nathan Bastian
