Iceman must not be waived. Habs feel the need. The need for speed. Habs can trade for Mavrik Bourque.

Even with that retention the Dvorak trade puts the Jackets over the cap. And we already have six guys competing at C likely to make the roster. So thanks but no thanks.

i figured that when i was trying to find a fit for him but the center market is so well filled columbus is really the only place that jumps out as a spot for him and what they have just doesn't coincide with Montreal interests or the value here IMO

Damn, dude hates Savard so much he made up a country to ship him off to. Now that's dedication right there.

No reason to trade Savard for nothing, we don't have any depth on the RD and we need to keep some veteran to help the younger players and Savard is great mentor.

Yup. It's why this had to happen.

We'll be good long-term, but this year is rough.

Wtf, Savard is the best defenceman on the team rn. It doesn't say much, but still.

matheson is 100% better than savard and arguably wideman and scheuneman are too. savard is old and slow and gives up the puck every time he comes over the glass. he makes too much money to be that bad even on the habs

"100% better", "arguably", "he comes over the glass" LOL

I can't answer anything to those top shelf arguments.
