Carolina has Freddie and Raanta which would cost them nothing to re-sign. Why trade for the 2nd choice netminder of another team when he's the older netminder pushed to that role? No thanks.

Canes extremely unlikely to trade for a goalie…they will re-sign Andersen and promote Pyotr after he plays this year in AHL. If they want something else, they will go UFA route. Ullmark very low on the target list regardless of acquisition cost

laugh There's no way Larkin is signing in Boston for 7 x $8,500,000, He wants more in Detroit and isn't taking less in Boston.

And it was already mentioned that Pasta is close to a new deal with Boston, And should be resigned before the season starts.

No one in the history of the world has called him pasty.

It does seem like they might get something done before opening night though.

Have you been to boston and Detroit? It makes a LOT of sense to require more compensation to live in Detroit than boston.

Jimmy Murphy reported that and he is an idiot, so don’t get your hopes up

Dude i'm from Detroit, And a lot of my family is from Boston. So your answer to both is Yes and Yes. And no it doesn't require more compensation in Detroit than Boston. Michigan and Detroit taxes are much lower than Boston's and Masseschusetts taxes. The cost of living is far less in Detroit than Boston so the compensation to sign in Detroit is much less than it would be in Boston. Boston equals more taxes and a higher standard of living compared to Detroit. If you don't believe than just do a quick google search.

You’re not really understanding what I’m saying. I suppose i was kind of beating around the bush a bit. I understand cost of living and taxes and all that jazz:

Boston is just a much more desirable place to live because it’s a better place.

It wasn’t Murphy. I don’t listen to or read anything of his. He’s the worst hack ever.

It was. Sportsnet quoted him for some reason. The fact Pasta hasn’t played a preseason game makes me think it isn’t going well.
