for price certainty, and since when is a guy who put up 12 more points and 5 more goals a downgrade?

For a dude that is worse defensively, a far inferior skater, and a guy that put up 40 points playing on the 4th line as opposed to a guy playing top 6 minutes? Stop

Here's a site that tracks every shift and game, and not Patrick Bacon who tracks a sample. Feel free to use actual stats and not the HORRIFIC JFresh stats.

So your argument is basically: “your stats suck, my stats rule”

Sorry I’m not subscribed to evolving hockey so I can’t see the “actual stat”

No, my argument is you're using cherrypicked game stats from a source that openly doesn't account for every game, whereas EH documents every game, every shift, and every situation. You may as well use +/- to try and justify it. Your entire defense is "here are stats from a few games not affected by COVID or anything! Also, ignore ice time, and still uses a WAR factor". If you don't know analytics, that's fine. If you don't know them and act as you do, please stop. Some of us value them and you give anyone who puts faith in them a bad reputation. It's the entire issue with the JFresh system.

Mikheyev is seriously good. One of the fastest players in the league, great defensively, is huge. He will have several break aways each game. I am not over exaggerating. Clearly he has health issues. Vancouver will like him a lot once he gets in the line up and is healthy. I was hoping the Leafs would resign him at 3.5 x 5. Clearly 4.75 x 4 was a better deal for him :P. It is a steep price, but you will like him a lot.

The "Prove it" defense. Just stop it.

His player cards are done in combination with Cory Sznajder, who openly doesn't track every game. JFresh admits as much in this substack link below. They do not track every game, it's why JFresh's player cards are neat, but they're not always accurate. They're fine for lazily checking, but sources that track EVERY game like Hockey-Reference, Evolving Hockey, Natural Stat Trick, or even MoneyPuck are better.

"In the bottom right of each card, you’ll see “Player Games Tracked” with a number next to it. This shows how many of the player’s 2021-22 games Corey has tracked. He chooses games to track essentially at random spread across the season..."

Alright so since you have access to evolving hockey stats, why don't you show Garland vs Necas then? The "prove it" is not a defense, if you are going to make a statement, back it up with evidence. You say Garland plays way more minutes than Necas, prove it. You say Necas is way better than Garland, show me stats that agree with you

Juiceman and Caniac2000 can duke it out for who’s stats are better, but seems like a silly trade for both sides.

I think Necas is going to really surprise some…Top 6 mins, PP and PK time this year. I wouldn’t be shocked to see 70 points.

I have all the time in the world for the argument that Necas has a higher ceiling than what Garland is right now, but he's got to actually show it sometime soon

You could probably say the same for Garland. He was playing third line minutes last year, basically the same amount of time as Necas

Nice, yeah I like Garland quite a bit. It’s part of why I say it doesn’t make sense for either side.

This is a do or die year for Necas. I have been a firm believer in him from the beginning. I think he takes that step and quiets a lot of critics. Really pulling for him.
