Kylington would be a huge addition. He is 25 and is coming off a good year and is signed at a good cap for this year and next. Montreal would trade picks for the right pieces. I think Kylington would be one of those pieces.

Right, so why would calgary move him?

Don’t think either team has any interest in those two moves.
Minimont liked this.

Montreal will get a better player than Kylington with that pick.

Their D corp is loaded and they have a hole in their top 9. They don't want to trade Hannifin or Weegar or Andersson or Tanev. So I chose Kylington here. They get their top 9 forward, a replacement level D and a 2nd round pick.

Drouin kinda sucks. Not sure that solves any issues for calgary.

CGY could definitely stand to move a couple D-Men for another Top-6 Forward. I’d prefer Dadonov 50% retained over Drouin, but Drouin could be an option if he’s healthy (both mentally & physically).

CGY wouldn’t need or want Wideman, since we have Michael Stone, Nic Meloche and Nick DeSimone. Valimaki can play RD too but he’s the other D-Man the Flames should be Trading

We’ll definitely take a pick on top of Dadonov 50% retained if you’re offering, but I doubt MTL would offer a 2nd

That is heavily debatable and completely baseless.
