Description

Taking a different approach here. Savard is HUGE and a defensive dman. He can help solidify their right side quite a bit. Montreal get another first round pick but take on Zaitsev.

That's a big gamble on the Sens 23-24 season. If they aren't a playoff team, they give up a lottery pick.

Dumping Zaitsev might cost a first in today’s market, but not if u have to take back Savard. He’s all right, but he’s not worth that at this point lol.

Zaitsev's contract ends sooner and he got better results than Savard last year. Why is Ottawa adding??

Yeah the added term on Savard's deal is a HARD pass. Ottawa needs to get out of the whole of Zaitsev's deal, not just a mil. Don't like Savard at 3.5mil for 3 years, especially with a major cap crunch next season.

Some combination of Holden, Brannstrom and JBD makes up a really nice 3rd pair. Wouldn't touch this

easy no for OTT, savard not worth anything close to to a first even with zeitsev added, OTT can just bury him in the minors for 2 years.
