i think we give pool a shot on the 2nd put the pressure on him and let holloway get some nhl games under his belt and dont throw him on the 2nd line. BUT if holloway outperforms in a 10-15 game period then the oilers would either trade pool or see if he could work on the 3rd line

They don't seem to be interested in cap dumps for picks. And 2 years of retention doesn't fit their M.O. If it did, they'd wand more than 2 3rds for taking on 9.5 mil and no surety they could flip him.

Holloway has never played RW in his career. This is a bad way to handle a rookie and Woodcroft knows it.

Barrie is NOT a cap dump, Edmonton isn't looking to move him and wouldn't make such a terrible move. Also they tried to get Soucy at the deadline and decided to get Kulak instead. They liked Kulak so much they re-signed him, so I don't see them being interested in Soucy anymore.
