I think they give studnicka a good hard look with bergeron until hall comes back.

It's gonna be interesting to see the 4th line come game one. On one hand Nosek is a good defensive center who is been a proven NHLer, but Studnicka has shown this preseason that his defensive game...especially face-offs... has greatly improved. The way him and McLaughlin compliment each other so well, it will be difficult to roll out something else, however I do see waivers, and the fact that they paid so much for Foligno and his "leadership" to play a large roll in (unfortunately) having McLaughlin being sent down. Greer had one good preseason game, and has the right attitude, but I feel his defensive game is less sound than Wagner, so it will be a battle between the two of them for the last spot on the 4th line.

Personally, I just cant see that happening, he hasnt played wing at all during camp, and hasnt really looked great at the wing previously. I think this is pretty close tbh

I would not completely count out Hall being ready for opening night.

Hell develop more in a top six wing role than on the fourth line

I actually disagree. I feel like he's shown he can be an effective everyday player, but never from the wing. He can still have skill, pace, offense from the 4th line. what he needs is a regular shift at his natural position. So you play him at wing and then when 71 and 63 come back hes kind of in no mans land. Get him playing center, build some chemistry with some guys (hes looked good with Mclaughlin and Greer) and give him as many games as hes earned.

Let him play with bergeron until hall comes back. Shouldn’t be too long. Find some offense, and some confidence, and take that to a full time role at 4C.

Agree to disagree. I just think its starts Stud on an uncomfortable foot. Two ways of looking at it i guess. Have a good weekend!
