The big reason JP and EDM have a rift is because he doesn't want to play on the 3rd line, only gets traded to a team where he will get 1st or 2nd line minutes

I guess my question is how are you handling the cap this season? Because POJ would need to make the team and Smith play in the AHL right? But even then aren't they still over the cap? Correct me if im wrong

I would do the Kapanen POJ trade now. Or link McGinn and POJ to send to a team. One of those contracts combined with POJ I think could potentially be moved to a rebuilding team. I think teams would see some value in POJ and Kapanen.

I gotcha - was just curious. If that rumor that they shopped POJ already is true that could make moving him and McGinn difficult
