Avs are not moving a 1st for toews. That is an instant decline

We talking about Tyler Johnson? 5mill AAV til 2024 Tyler Johnson? 7 points last season Tyler Johnson? You think that gets you a 1st and a good prospect? Wild

I think that is the most reasonable Kane to Edmonton trade I've seen. If Chicago can get a third team involved to retain the difference between Kane and foegele cap because it's very much a money in money out move this could be something. Highly doubt will happen but overall think its reasonable.

Why are the Sens trading away a very good young player AND a first for... Tyler Johnson?

The Johnson one is rough.

Toronto can't afford to bring Domi in, without shipping contracts out.

The Kane one makes sense, but I get the impression Chicago would want 1sts, but might be better trying to squeeze a prospect out rather than one of them, as those picks very well can be #28 upwards.

Sens woudn't take Tyler Johnson for free. And even if they would get paid, thy can't take him. They need cap space next year for DeBrincat, Zub and Pinto.

Not sure how can anyone think the Sens would give either Crookshank or picks for a player they don't need

I mean they got rid in a pretty good player (Connor Brown) for a 2nd round pick because they'll need the cap space.

This is pretty easy to figure out

Nice to see a Leafs/Jackets fan who understand what Crookshank is

I would like to clarify that this is a Carolina fan and not actually a CHI fan, if you look at OP's profile.

Toews isn’t getting remotely close to that return. Hard no from COL.

The Toews one is…generous.
The Domi one is…quite generous.
The Johnson one is…extremely generous.

Kane is the only one who feels remotely close to that value. Even then, two firsts and eating Foegele’s contract feels a bit generous, particularly if it is a TDL move.

I think that makes it worse, as a Carolina fan the OP shouldn't have blinders to the value of Chicago players.

Fans of a team usually overvalue their players and undervalue other teams... this is the opposite

Haha. Worse for who? As a CHI fan, I just don't want to be associated with awful ACGM's like this one. No offense to OP. I would love some of these returns. But they are super unrealistic for the most part.
