I'm not saying that Iafallo is worth that haul, but in no world is he expensive. He's underpaid, if anything.

Expensive =/= overpaid. In fact I think he is quite fairly paid. He is just taking up a very relevant cap hit that Calgary can't realistically afford past this season. This roster is 200k below the cap with only 2.5M coming off the books while also adding 7.6M in already signed raises

Would be sad to see Martinook claimed, but it would free up some necessary cap space. Plus it would prevent Rod from playing him on the top line at certain points during the year. Kind of a double edged sword.
