Rangers dont have the cap for backlund, i dont think Hanifin will net you that much, and you will have to pay to get rid of rooney

Boston declines. They might have done that last year at the deadline. After trading for & extending Lindholm it’s not a thing. They have 5 LD under contract with term. 4 making 3m+. They need to move some not add more.

Hard to imagine the circumstances under which the Kings would want a bottom-6 left-handed forward, even a year down the road.
