Opening Night Roster Max LTIR Pool

Created by: cstooch
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 10, 2022
Published: Oct. 10, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This will likely be the opening night roster, due to trying to maximize LTIR pool. Leaves Oilers with $167 space, which is as close to the maximum it will get now.

Lines may be different, however, but they're also not far off.

Klim Kostin has already cleared waivers 3 days ago, so he will be sent down for now... Malone's cap hit brings the team closer. He has been waived, but not been sent to Bakersfield yet.. I believe for this reason.

Looks pretty much right.

Holloway is expect to play top six minutes to start the season.

I don’t care but I would have Kostin instead of Malone every day of the week.

Edmonton and Toronto both playing some absolute galaxy brain chess with LTIR this year. Specifically looking at the McLeod contract for Edmonton and the ZAR contract in Toronto to maximize LTIR

He will be there as of game 2, I'm thinking. Once cap gymnastics done.

It's kind of crazy to think how pinching pennies with McLeod and others really was this critical. Literally, every dollar mattered.
