So 3.8m Mrzarek gets traded with sweetener added, just so the Leafs can trade for 4.7m Murray.

Just to add to your original comment, waiving him saves just $ 300,000.

Can't wait for Dubas to get canned and bring in someone that actually cares

4 goals on 23 shots is not a good start.
Tomorrow we’ll see if Samsonov can take the ball and run with it.

Couldn’t agree more. We should judge all players on one game. Especially the first game of the season.

Murray blows…. Everyone knew that- except your GM apparently
That move is gonna get him fired
No clue what he was thinking
It’s gonna kill your season

Well I'm sure Dubas cares, but he has shown to be incompetent in his trades and contract negotiations, and the draft (kinda the job of a GM) I'm shocked/disappointed that the Leafs with so much $$$$ invested in their team of executives, can't make better personnel decisions and manage the cap better.
Shanahan who hired these expensive suits, should really be dismissed too. Unfortunately in a lot of businesses, the guys doing the hiring, don't like to fire guys they hired. In shows their incompetence for hiring the own people in the first place.

Still to this day, the Leafs should have fired him when we choked a 3-1 series lead

Has Murray always had a shaky glove hand? Yikes. Habs did a good job of containing Matthews. That's hard to do.

And he stunk last year
And was horrible the year before
And so bad the year before that, that PIT shipped out a guy who had won them 2 Cups

Dude has been a shell of his former self for quite a while now

But I thought since the Leafs won last year with mediocre goaltending they could do it again! That's what all you guys said and you're throwing in the towel after the first game of the season?

Don't worry. First Leafs win they'll be planning the Cup parade. Lol

MAYBE cole's second but that thing was a rocket. Last one he had made numerous saves, leafs couldn't clear and gave it right to Anderson for a wide open shot in the slot. That's on the team

Murray will need to go on mental stress leaf when he has to answer to the Toronto media and fans constantly. Expect him to go on LTIR before Xmas.

He had a lot of time and space on the Anderson goal and let's be honest, that wasn't a rocket from Anderson. Murray didn't even try to cut off the angle. He went down too early *Insert joke here* as he always does. Glove side is the most commonly scored goal in the NHL, but he's beyond prone.

Cole's shot was a very nice shot, but that's a save he should have had.

understand the cole one, don't see the anderson one. D should've cleared that out, handed it to him right in the slot after relying on murray for multiple saves in a row

If it makes you feel better Leaf fans, Jack Campbell has let in 2 goals on his first 8 shots as an Oiler.
