Dylan Larkin isn't signing that in Boston, Try closer to 7 x $10,000,000 if not slightly more.

And Boston will be trending down in 1-2 years, While Detroit will be trending up.

We know none of those things to be true. What we do know is Larkin would, we assume, prefer to stay in Detroit, and Detroit seems hesitant to want to pay him. Beyond that…🤷🏻‍♂️

If Larkin would sign that it he'd be signed already.

Let's not confuse "What a player wants" and what teams are offering.
Take last season....On CapFriendly so many said Klingberg "wants". 7m X 7 years. What did he sign for? 7m X 1.

There aren't many team with the cap available to sign Pasta for over 10m...especially teams that he might find appealing to play for. Same with Larkin. Looking right now...Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Anaheim, Arizona could be destinations. Unless Boston can secure a good centre or two, gee Boston may not be that appealing to Pasta.

Must remember the bruins will technically be over the cap with Krecho and Bergy's signing bonuses this season, so those bonuses will be moved onto the cap next year, making them shed like 4-5 milli in cap to be under

I think $8.5 million sounds about right for Larkin. But Pasta number may be a little high. One thing Boston often seems to do well is keep player salaries within reason. So I am guessing Pasta comes in around Gaudreau’s number.
