I’m confused.. what are you talking about? Costs a lot… did you mean to post a trade?

Edit: There’s the trade…. Why would Montreal do this? They are doing Toronto a favour in this. They never do trades together, same as other rivals. Only if it benefits both teams, and this doesn’t benefit Montreal at all.

Edit again ahha: The creator of this post keeps switching the trade haha. Now that’s bad for Toronto.

Flames could afford the Monahan cap dump price because they had an extra 1st from the Tkachuk Florida trade. Plus Muzzin has a NTC. Why would he waive it for Montreal? Toronto is his hometown. They're a playoff team. Montreal is rebuilding.

Lol at monahan being a better player than muzzin.
And if muzzin costs that much to dump, then Edmundson and his deal cost just as much, because he's worse and has back issues. So gonna need montreals 1st, caufield and ghule. Because cap space is expensive!

Okay, okay. So now the newest trade… Toronto is giving up a ridiculous amount. Niemela is going to be a actual good defence man, and you add Villeneuve, and a first! I get it, it takes a lot to dump a bad contract, but not this much to dump Muzzin, and they are sending Kerfoot to dump Muzzin too!

At least you aren't claiming this was made by a Leafs fan this time.

Setting aside the NTC we know he won't waive for a minute: the Leafs are cap compliant as we speak, even if they're running a 20 man roster. Why do they need to dump Jake Muzzin's deal? They don't need to do anything until Timothy Liljegren is eligible to come off LTIR, which, if he has to miss the full 10 games LTIR requires, puts his earliest return at November 2nd. At that point, they only need to clear about $1.4M to carry his contract, and will probably just waive/send out Justin Holl for FC if they really need to. No need to do something crazy like give up a 1st, two prospects and a roster player. This is just silly.
