Not a chance. Vancouver couldn't pay to get rid of the twins let alone get something back for them. Your stuck with them for 1 more year, then my 18 year term as a former Canucks fan can come to an end.

Shame your last GMs had no foresight to unload them 5 to 6 years ago.

And if you figure out how to get rid of Benning and Linden, the rebuild can start. They will be lucky to win 25 games this upcoming season with the two clowns running the show.

How is this remotely a good thing for Tampa? Not only do they lose Drouin. They love a 1st and 7million in cap space meaning they probably lose Johnson or Palat. Not only that. Having the Sedins makes them a worse team. So they're giving away a future superstar and any chance they have of making the playoffs for what? Hutton?

I give it an invalid....

Vancouver is already retaining on two deals and so they only have the ability to retain on 1 more. Retaining on both Sedin's can't happen and therefore it's invalid

You do understand that if Tampa were to trade Drouin it would be for cost cutting reasons don't you? So how is both Sedins at half cost or $7 million combined helping that situation. And besides Drouin is only moved for a top pairing LHD/RHD the aging Sedins don't fit Tampa's core here.

No because Hansen's contract is up july 1st so Lou and the 2 Sedins will be their 3 retained salaries. I assume this trade happens after the expansion draft so the lightning dont have to protect the sedins

Two aging players for 7 million to a team who already has cap problems? For a potential future superstar? And a promising prospect? And a 1st round pick? For what? Ben Hutton? Tampa says no.
