If the cap goes up 4M they should not overpay FA's or make any of those trades

Ottawa doesn't need another LD with Chabot and Sanderson, they would be a better trading spot for Fabbro IMO

That's fair. Regarding Carrier, I don't really know how much to pay him. He was so good offensively last year, but so far, him and Josi haven't been producing at all this season. I was comparing this to the Johansen signing of 8 mil, big overpayment, but Poile felt they needed him and wanted to eliminate the risk of an offer sheet.

yeah defenseman like him are impossible to judge. idk we'll see after this season (hopefully)

trade is ok and i may be biased but I would prefer to keep Liljegren, I think he's developing into an absolute stud.
