Team: 2022-23 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 20, 2022
Published: Oct. 20, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hartman has proven that he is more than capable of putting up serious points when playing with top players, which, Edmonton has 2 of them, and is responsible in the D-Zone, which would allow Connor and Leon to play as free as can be, plus could shore up some of the defensive and goaltending issues, plus, the Wild are clearly not the team they were expected to be this year.

Players on taxi squad go on waivers.

I had heard Hartman was untouchable, that being said Edmonton would accept this very easily.

Yea, would this work:

Pulji + Ryan + 2023 2nd
for
Hartman (same retention)

Why is Minnesota trading Hartman?

34 goals and 65 points next to Kaprizov last year while making only $1.7M.

Why the f**k would you trade Hartman?

Until Rossi is consistently putting up points he should be nowhere near the top line. Get him off the 4th line and next to Boldy, sure. But it is waaaay too early to play him with Kaprizov.

Furthermore, Hartman is actually better suited to the top line because he not only has the skill to keep up but provides that line with some grit and snarl.

So again, why are you trading Hartman?

Don't get me wrong, this is a little bit of a knee jerk reaction, however, if he continues to play significantly worse than last year (Which I feel as though anyone could admit is true), his value is just going to continue to drop, I have never been as high on Hartman as others have and think he is a product of his situation, so if you put him in a similar situation in EDM he could flourish, and the wild gain another first in a stacked 2023 draft.

Kneejerk reaction to a very very very slow and looking lost start. I thought he should have been the healthy scratch against COL, not Rossi.

I would personally not, as a wild fan, I would be upset if we moved him for anything less than a first.
