Edmonton Wild

Created by: MNBassman
Team: 2022-23 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 20, 2022
Published: Oct. 20, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Spawned from User1234….’s idea
Unless the Wild’s goaltending situation rectifies itself, this year won’t matter anyway…so they might as well continue building for the future.

Brock Faber signed after the Gophers’ season ends (hopefully with a National Championship!) and takes Goligoski’s spot in the lineup.

If Edmonton is moving 2 first, I think they could get better pieces back then Dumba and Hartzy.

Maybe, but those 2 picks should be basically early 2nd rounders…

Maybe not 'better' but I think similar players who still have term would be the first targets.

I would have to agree with this, a 1.7M forward who proved he can play really well with an elite puck mover/player, i.e. McDavid and Draisaitl, is what causes his value to be gigantic to teams like EDM and COL. With the cap potentially increasing $4M next year, I think the Wild will probably wait on any moves with Dumba as they may, just may re-up him on a near identical deal, depending on what Boldy's contract looks like at the end of the year. If they were to go the route of giving Boldy 8x8 and give Dumba's money, or potential money there, then yes, I think they move him. It will be interesting

I think the second the Wild acquired Faber, Dumba’s days with them started its countdown. The ONLY way I see Dumba resigned is if Spurgeon goes…and we all know that’s not gonna happen, even if it should…

I'd be down for that....even after finally coming around to liking his game and realizing just how good he is. IDK if Edmonton has the cap space to on his contract tho. Unless the rumors are true and the cap explodes mid-season.

Def don't have the cap space and its too bad because hes honestly exactly the kind of player the oilers need on the right side
