That'd get Meier I would think, but he'd get paid more.
I like this betting that your team isn't going to suck the following season making that 2024 1st rounder really painful
SJ knows that bet works out really well

Why would Winnipeg move a goalie prospect for worthless pieces?

Maybe is you add a guy like Helenius this can happen. We have the cap space. But at 50% some of us will ask more...

Having 2 1st + Farrell who is here a real gem is a steep price, but we need this kind of player to play on our top line, so yeah i'm ready to pay. For the salary I guess that Suzuki contract is our new ceilling but i can see habs goes at 8,500 too. If the cap go to 86.5 habs would still have money.

I guess he can accept such trade if he can play on a third line.

LMAO, more like why would Montreal give up two good value contracts for a worthless, undrafted goalie prospect?

That guy is plain silly and always overrating his players ... Don't pay attention to him, it is wortless to put time on a discussion ...

Nope. Considering that Edmundson is consistently (and currently) injured and hasn't played much hockey over the last few seasons, his trade value is not very good right now.

I can see a 1-for-1 for Sean Walker (similar injury and contract situation) without salary retention, or 1-for-1 with 50% retention for Grans.

    Otherwise the Kings aren't interested.

I'm using Chiarot trade for the return ... Maybe you want to compromise cuz at 50% i'm giving up a skilled and experienced player for your playoff run and another full season.

He might have been skilled and experienced before his back injury (although the skilled point is debatable). He wasn't very good in his return last season, and is now missing significant time due to an undisclosed "lower body injury." It's unclear if he'll ever be the same player again.

There's no way his trade value should be anything close to comparable with Chiarot, which is pretty universally regarded to be a huge overpayment to begin with.

    (FLA/MTL) - Smilanic, 1st, 4th for Chiarot

if there is not many D-Man on the market or a multi-team bid, I guess thing can go as far as Chiarot. We'll see if he is back next week or so how he is able to play, but I guess people underestimate the Edmonster !!

The same could be said about Sean Walker. He was a quality second pairing defensemen when he signed his extension, then took a Matt Dumba slapshot to the face. Just 6 games after returning from that, he tore his and ACL/MCL and missed the entire season. He's just now getting back to NHL action. Has his play dropped off a cliff in the handful of games he's played over the last few years? Not at all. However, no one is going to give up significant value for him until they can see that he has recovered and is still the same defenseman he was before the injuries.

The same applies to Edmundson. Until he is healthy and shows that he can still be the same guy he was from before his back injury, he doesn't have much (if any) trade value.
