They have a logjam on right side. Doughty, Durzi, Walker, Clarke, Spence just to name a few.

Hoglander has been scratched this season already and fell out of favour in the line up this previous season. I doubt he’s gonna bring back a lot of trade value. Potential is there but as top 9F I doubt he’s a top 6F.

Also Holl is worth a 3rd RHD are valuable hence why we gave up a prospect, roster filler, 2023 1st and 4th for Roy. Might need to add another prospect on that trade but RHD are valuable

He’s 21. Would you give up Robertson for that package?

Had Robertson been a healthy scratch on a non contending team?

The only reason why Robertson didn’t make the roster was because we would lose Malgin on waivers and Malgin had a great pre season. Completely different from Hoglander who’s been struggling since the coaching change

I agree but the coach see something he doesn’t like in him we don’t. If you’re the GM of the Canucks are you trading Hoglander or firing the coach 1st?

I doubt an owner would pay 3 head coaches as 2 of em aren’t even coaching the team (Boudreau and Green if Boudreau were fired for Hoglander)

He’s a bottom pairing NHL dman that playing top 4 due to good amount of injuries on the back end

No. Spence walker and Durzi get traded first.

Also kings have no need for SDA, who’s falling on your prospect depth chart, useless 4th in 25 and gaudette

Vancouver is not trading a 21 year old in his third NHL season for scraps.

Canucks trade Hoglander for spare parts because he was scratched one game? How about Garland for a 7th while we are at it?

A late first and three almost worthless throw-ins for Matt Roy doesn't cut it. In particular, calling Gaudette a "roster filler" when you have him in the AHL and your team has half the depth at center as ours is especially hilarious. B-prospect SDA would be fifth on our depth chart at that position (and that's not including the 5 centers who are on the NHL roster now) and almost certainly would never see the NHL and the over-the-horizon fourth has the value of a 2023 sixth. That package doesn't even make sense for Jordan Spence or Helge Grans because it's simply sacrificing the years of development for each of them in return for a first.

Engvall Anderson and a 4th is this year magic leaf formula for any player the fan base wants.

UFA, minor leagure and a mid pick.

All those prospects are easier to control in contracts than Roy who’s 2yrs away from UFA. It’s better to be younger and faster in the back end. NYR made a killing of that last season with how young, fast and mobile their dcore is

He was sent down to the AHL. Clearly there’s an issue with the coach not liking the player as he is NHL calibre on a lot of teams.

On 90% of teams Anderson and Engvall are great bottom 6F forwards. Anderson didn’t make the team due to amount of depth on RW. Engvall unfortunately doesn’t have a place on the roster when Knies signs at the end of the season.

Vancouver gets back 2 bottom 6F for a player they sent to the AHL because their coach cant get him going.

Don’t y’all have Stillman and Rathbone. Vancouver is using LTIR so it can’t be a paper move and they’ are at the max roster slots

It was a paper transaction. Hughes was hurt so we had to call up a d man from the AHL and we had no cap space so we had to move a player down. Hoglander didn’t require waivers
