Is Boqvist available and if so what is the price

Description
VAN should be turning over every rock to find ways to improve this D core long term.

Boqvist has been healthy(?) scratched 3 out of the first six games. Is there a trade fit? A contract would have to go back to CBJ to make the cap work.

What would be the asking price? Player? Prospect? Is there a fit with VAN?

Judging by the Romanov/lundkvist deals I’d say a first maybe a little more. Given the canucks struggles it could probably be top 5-10 protected. I saw a trade of Boqvist and roslovic and a pick for horvat extended that seemed reasonable

Just collecting Devil brothers. Hughes, Stillmans, now Boqvists.

    (FYI…Jesper Bratt’s brother is also a RD)

Probably a first and a bit, but if you send back Poolman or whatever for contracts make it a decent prospect? Something like the Lundkvist trade

I don't think Boqvist helps Nucks. But CBJ seems to want big centers. I do agree that there's no way a 1st is involved unless Poolman/Myers goes the other way. Poolman, a protected 1st, and some minor prospect should do it.

You don't want him. He's an offensive specialist. He's not a 2-way dman. If you want to sit Hughes on the PP...fine so be it, but of you don't want him to be a PP QB he's not the guy you're looking for.

I think I'd consider it if the 2023 first could be protected and they could dump Poolman too.

There is more than 1 PP unit.

Gonna have to be a first + young player. Not sure if he is still in discussions but something surrounding Hoglander would be my guess. Maybe Hoglander + 3rd/ low B or high C prospect

Trading for a much inferior version of Quinn Hughes isnt the answer. They need a partner for Hughes not a mini me

A protected first and maybe another piece would be the minimum. Any dumps would be an add and they won’t be adding salary beyond this year unless it improves the roster. Boq I think the jackets package him for a more established center or defenseman though. Could be bait in a trade for horvat or chychrun

...ok...and goalies can score points too. You don't want to have a defensive liability on the ice unless he's scoring a bunch as the #1 PP QB.

Boqvist isn't the kind of RHD we are looking for. We need one who is actually good defensively. We don't need walmart Quinn Hughes. We already have that kind of player in Jack Rathbone

PP2 never gets much time anyway. We already have OEL on the PP2
