Little low on the Boeser return. And they've said that Quinn is one of the three that is considered untouchable

Not remotely close to a yes from COL.
IF they moved Newhook plus a 2023 1st, they land a more valuable piece than half a season of Horvat

Maybe I have a different opinion on Boeser than others. I just don't see the same player from a few years back.

Would the Avs not have enough cap to make that happen? Seems they have decent room and maybe will look at moving out some pieces given Byram's progress and some redundancy on LHD.

I think he needs a change of scenery and his value is probably the lowest it's ever been, but as a Detroit fan, I'd take a flier on him for this price.

Yeah but he has only missed the 20g mark once in his career and for a D prospect and 2024 2nd I'd take it. Now it's probably not the decision all wings fans would make but I like it.

I'd be happy to trade for Boeser but I'd be very wary of giving up Tuomisto who is the only RD prospect we have.

Tuomisto is the only RD prospect Detroit has. Would you accept one of the LD instead? Viro+McIsaac instead of Tuomisto?

I get the hesitation but I think I'd rather see a better pick than more LDs. I'm not familiar with the others you noted but Tuomisto's journey is interesting ending up at a US university and back to Finland for pro hockey. His size and skating are also pieces to be desired.

Detroit has a glut of LD prospects but Tuomisto is the only one on RD so that makes it a very difficult choice.

Eemil Viro is a year younger than Tuomisto and he's been a regular in Liiga for three years. He played better in Liiga last year than what Tuomisto is doing so far this year. He's a great skater and puckhandler and was absolutely rock solid in the exhibition games he played this month. He is the best LD prospect Detroit has outside the "untouchables". Valuewise it's a good swap for you.

They aren’t moving Newhook or the 2023 1st for a rental, there is no way they can keep Horvat so won’t be or ever been reckless trading assets on players they can’t keep. Kuemper has been the only exception and they really didn’t have a choice bc of how the goalie market shaked out

Glad you’re not in charge of any hockey team, since when do you make roster moves on small sample sizes and only off hockeydb stats

If you based everything on small samples sizes then jt miller would be the worst defensive player in the league and with that contract would have to pay to get ride of him,

It's time for Newhook to have a big year and break out. If he isn't showing signs after six games, how much longer can you go anticipating that it's going to eventually come?

At least Miller is putting up points, and he scored two goals last game

At least Newhook has been sound Defensivly, drawing penalties etc

Do you see how that works, so if small sample sizes is something to comment on for offensive ability then you agree small sample size for defensively is fair to comment on which miller is one of the worst in the league so far

So you agree that after 7 game that milllers defensive ability is so bad how long can the Canucks wait until they try to get rid of him

Miller just got moved to the wing, so his defensive concerns have already been taken care of. Great that Newhook is sound defensively, but if there is no offense, that lower's the ceiling on his game as well as his value as an asset

it doesnt work like that,
and keep on moving goal posts, if small sample sizes means something, then it means it negatively for Canuck players as well, point is you dont over react on small sample sizes

Going through a slump mid-season is different from getting off to a slow start
