Description
Per Seravalli, the ask from Carolina for Bear is centered around Hoglander

Could some nucks fans give me a rundown on Hoglander? What kind of game does he play, just wondering where he would fit in the lineup.

  1. Höglander, Nils
Additional Details:
Personally, i think the canes would need to add tad bit, maybe a mid round pick. But it's a trade i could see happening one for one, and i'd be very happy witht that.

Hahahahah you're ridiculous man. He's not being trade protected by being a healthy scratch for the majority of the past 40 games. They don't want him in the lineup.

You're the only one spinning a consistent healthy scratch bottom dman as being "trade protected" to fit your agenda.

He's not good enough to be in the lineup. That's that.

Oh you're referring to last year when he was suffering with long term covid and a fractured ankle! That makes far more sense. You're ignoring facts, but a different kind of fact! He's been traded protected this season after asking for a trade this summer, last year, he wasn't healthy and when he was, he was on the top pairing! But you know, go off. Keep being "ridiculous"

Strange I've never seen a top pair dman play less than 20mins every game.

Wouldn't you think teams interested want to see if he can still play after covid and the ankle injury rather than being scratched every game this year?

He's not being trade protected. Get over yourself.

He's being trade protected, why would you play a guy that wants out when you are carrying 7 other D men and can protect him? It makes no sense unless you get plagued by injuries. Come to terms with that, it's a fact. It's asset management.

Nah, I think after an injury like that and long term covid, you let him rest and don't expose him to reinjuring that ankle and lowering his trade value even more.

Interesting, you should look at the game logs from the start of last year when he played with Slavin

K let me know when you get assets for your prized possession that is so special we must not play him. I'll be waiting.

Cheers.

Hoglander has already been sent down this year once... AHL filler for a healthy scratch seems about fair

He was sent down because he is exempt and the nucks had injuries that they needed to bring guys up to fix

He got sent down one game because of cap complications. We had to recall a defenseman which is why we had to send Hoglander down. You do realize he is back up playing first line with Pettersson right?

Crazy how you can make all of these reasons why Bear doesn't play much and why he is a healthy scratch consistently, but you can't even get your facts right on why Hoglander was sent down to the AHL for one game due to cap purposes.

Don't think this is a good trade for Vancouver to make.
