Klingberg is worth more then a garbage Dman in Zaitsev and a 2nd round pick, Anaheim easily gets a late 1st round pick for Klinger.

Hall who played better than Klingberg in 2020 was traded IN DIVISION RETAINED with another piece for a cap dump and a 2nd. We'll see how well Klingberg plays. If he barely plays better, this is fair value.

Klingberg has a 10 team no trade list, he is not as on control of his destination of he gets traded. He will get a better return. Multiple teams would offer a second plus a bit more without Anaheim having to take on a bad contract.

23 and 24 1st round picks along with Zaitsev and a top prospect seems more like it if you want us to take Zaitsev

Severely underestimating how difficult it will be to move Z. Don't think you can move him for a 2nd with nothing coming back.

No, this trade is going to be similar to the Chiarot trade -- a current (not future) first, a B prospect and a fourth.

I feel like I'm missing something. When was Hall moved for a cap dump and a 2nd? Becuase if we're referencing Bjork I don't think that's comparable to Zaitsev at all.

Zaitsev will be bought on next off season

Sens don't need cap space now. Worst case scenario send him to Belleville this season (like they did for Del Zotto last year)

His salary this season is only $2,500,000 (Del Zotto was $1,750,000 last season)

No need to sacrifice any pick to dump the last year of his contract

And with the possibility that the cap goes up by 4 M$, he will most likely just be bought out

The BUYOUT COST is $1,666,667, spread over 2 years too. Very cheap.

$2,833,334 in cap hit for the 1st season, $833,334 for the 2nd year.
