I think Dallas should consider that deal

Garland is worth Severson by himself if not more valuable

I don't see the Canucks dumping Mikheyev after signing him, he's a very important player to this team

Why are the Canucks adding a second round pick? Garland had 4 years left whereas Severson is an expiring UFA

Garland doesn't have much value and Severson is a top 4 (arguably top pair) RHD.

Who is to say Garland doesn't have much value? According to Serevalli, he still has very strong value around the league

Pearson is a older, more expensive, lateral (at best) move. Rather keep Gurianov, see what we can get out of him this year, and then make the choice on whether or no to re-sign him this offseason

What is Vancouver adding for the Jets to take Mikheyev? That contract will be brutal

You don't have to worry about that trade happening courtesy of Mikheyev's 12 team "no" list and Winnipeg not being able to fit his salary under the cap.

You guys aren't getting anything out of Gurianov, which is ironic for taking place in Deboer's system. At least Pearson has a decent track record of providing relatively solid two-way value in a middle six role

We’re not even 10 games into the season. Lets pump the brakes a bit. And Dallas has plenty of bottom-6 options in their organization already that would be cheaper than Pearson. He doesn’t provide anything that they can’t find for a lower cost, both in trade value and cap hit.

Pearson isn't a bottom six forward, he's a middle six forward

Maybe in Vancouver. In Dallas, he's not playing ahead of Hintz, Robertson, Pavelski, Marchment, Seguin, and Dellandrea/Johnston. He's a bottom-6 forward

He'd play ahead of Dellandrea. He'd play on the Stars third line easily
