Make it a 2023 1st and CBJ accept. This also only gets done if Gavi rejects extension talks

Gavrikov half retained would be one of the best defenseman at the deadline. You’re looking at a 23 first + minimum. Look at the Chiarot deal last year and add some more

What is Winnipeg's incentive to retain on DeMelo and trade him for crap?

Funny how a kid who is leading the OHL in points on a bad team is crap. If you had a kid leading his minor league in points would you call him crap?

if you're a Leafs fan you shouldn't need a metric if you watched Clb vs Tor in the play in round.

That time when TO peppered the Columbus goalies non stop but they stood on their heads and won games they had no business winning? Yeah I watched those. Again, by what metric is he good defensively? I see zero evidence to point to anyone on that team being good defensively.

+3 on a -8 team, 70% d zone starts, .92% save percentage while on the ice means he makes it tough to get good quality shots (which he did to Auston in that series if you watched it), lowest GA on his ****ty defensive team you're suggesting. Want more metrics?

Matthews hit the post 5 times in that 5 game series and was a point a game. Massively tilted the ice in his favor and had major good looks. Your goalies were unreal. The defence had nothing to do with it. And since then? You guys have one of the worst defensive numbers in the league since Torts was fired. Gavrikov is not great.b

Plus minus isn't a metric anymore. And sv% only proves the fact your goalies were outstanding. Also that was 3 frigging years ago. What has he done lately? He certainly is good at giving up high danger scoring chances against.

Leafs need more scoring if anything. But it's the old CapFriendly cliche, Leafs need more Dmen at any cost.
