as much as i want it to happen, i don't think Kravtsov is going to succeed in the North American game.
the kid has a great skill set but hasn't done anything to make his KHL game translatable to the NHL.

it's almost like he tries to slow everything down in a game that isn't meant to be slowed down.
he turns the puck over too much because he holds on to it longer than he should.

also seems to be made of glass.

I actually really like these lines. I feel like Kreider needs to try and find his scoring touch not against other top lines. I also agree that Kravtsov just seems to not be working out. Hope we can salvage like a 2nd rd pick for him or package him at the TDL.

The problem is that the NHL is not a developmental league. What he has shown so far is that he's tentative- playing "not to make a mistake"....which for any player results in underwhelming play. He should be getting big minutes now in Hartford- but rather than go on an on about his botched development, I'll leave it at the best thing for him is to continue to play wing for Chytil. Have to give it at least 20-30 games. If he does figure it out, he can be a stud. But obviously, right now he's not showing that....just don't give up too soon on a prospect.

As far as the rest of the lineup, the 4th line should be Goodrow with Gautier and Vesey/Blais (leaning on Vesey here). This leaves Blais for 3rd line wing- which I think is going to be the place to look for improvement come TDL. Similar to Krav, Blais is coming off a rough injury- so don't want to bail too soon. But so far I've seen nothing out of him (that Hunt couldn't give) to warrant being included in the Buch trade. And for Gautier- guy is frustrating as hell....but with his size and speed he does seem to be involved in the play everytime on ice- can he for once hit the back of the net though?? He does draw lots of penalties, though- that can't be overlooked.
