I’m surprised you’d want that contract. I think it’s $2 mil too much like Trouba’s.

Im just thinking this wouldnt look terrible if the salary cap goes up a couple mil

Should want them to retain 900k or so, to at least be able to fit in a cheap player. I doubt Chicago would be willing to do that but if ARZ can do 990Kx6, they can do something similar for 7.5/8 years.

Jones won't waive for MTL though, I think there's a bigger chance that Price returns in the future than that.

Not a player the Habs should be looking to take on. Draft high, see who you have to pay and then add 28+ year defence man that can play in your top 4 if they're the last piece.
