Domi absolutely stinks and I’ve heard rumblings about him not being a great locker room guy. Honestly, foligno is playing great right now. This seems like a massive waste.

Also, Clifton is about ten times the player as stralman.

The lines are a mess. Why switch up marchand - bergeron - debrusk?

I mean... Considering Foligno and Reilly are pretty close to neutral value if not cap dumps and the way Domi is playing, if he can keep it up, this probably isn't enough. Not to mention the way BOS is playing, that pick should be very late.

Kinda seems like more than a stretch that domi keeps this up.

Foligno is playing well. I would not swap him 1 for 1 for Domi. They need his type of game far more than they need Domi.

I mean, I was trying to be subtle, but "MORE than a stretch"? For the first time in years he is consistently playing more than a 3rd line floater role, on a top line with one of the best forwards in the league on one side and one of the fastest forwards in the league on the other... Continue playing at a point per game pace? Probably not. But, to continue playing a high level and be able to put up 60-80 points? I wouldn't even call that a stretch, it is a distinct possibility. Not to mention all the other valuable aspects to his game that don't show up on the scoresheet. Then consider that you are proposing CHI take on almost $7M in cap dumps along with it and that Reilly still has one more season after this one on a backloaded contract, and it's a pretty realistic assumption that CHI isn't getting enough here.

I guess that is fair. I haven't actually watched any Bruins games yet this year. So I figured he was still the same declining Foligno from the last few years. Wouldn't be surprised if he isn't able to keep up his play though.

Foligno can be sent down. Much rather have Reilly and the 1st than Domi. Bruins don't need to trade for a 3rd liner right now.

How much cap relief does sending Foligno down give BOS, though?

$1.125M. They can waive Frederic too and trade another defenseman (or Smith) but I don't want to pay to get rid of a good player like Reilly. If they have to pay, rather do it with Forbort.

Domi isn’t playing that good his stats are inflated by playing PP1 and also playing with patty kane. Also 4 of his 7 points are from the PP which goes to show he isn’t producing 5v5. B’s once healthy have their PP1 and PP2 locked so they don’t need power play merchants they need guys like marchment last season who produced very well 5v5

Some guys I’d be interested in bruins targeting would be along the lines of horvat, vilardi. B’s are also unlikely to target a rental if they are using assets like 1st or prospects as they need long term C options. Domi ain’t that guy
