This isn't that different than Marner for Anderson & Xhekaj? Would the Leafs consider that?

I'll say it again, Toronto will never be competitive when the bulk of their cap is wrapped up in 3 players. They need to move Tavares, Matthews, or Marner. Tavares being older makes it much more difficult. Matthews is the face of the team so I can't see them moving him so all likely hood would be to trade Marner.

1.) If you trade Marner, you don't trade him for that little. Some combination of multiple 1st, top line forward, mid 6 forward, prospect.
2.) Realistically, the Leafs are going to limp along for the next three years until the Tavares contract expires.
3.) The blues are not taking on Kerfoot.

1.) YES
2.) No the Leafs are fine once the salary cap moves up,they have some intriguing prospects mainly Knies & Voit, So there is several options for the team to improve
3.) This is a Big Yes, They will not take Kerf

Voit is having one good year in the ohl, I don’t really think that means much, he’s also isn’t very big either. At best he’d be a second liner in the ahl.

Knies looks good tho.

But if leafs need to make moves, I bet muzzin, holl and engvall is all gone by the TDL

I agree with everything but Muzzin isn't hurting our cap right now. I think he will be on LTIR for the season, so there is no point in really moving him

As nice as a mid first in two years would be, the Jets can't afford to downgrade Dillon to a plug.

I'd like to be optimistic but the cap moving up doesn't solve any problems for the Leafs. Every other team gets the same cap space and players will want more. The leafs still have an issue where they have little room to wiggle with cap space and even with it growing that lets them upgrade maybe a piece or two which doesn't move the needle.
