Description
I'm not doing a big description. This is the sort version. I'm centering my trade idea around Marner. I will be choosing a team at random to be the trade partner. Tonight I will be choosing my most hated team the Bruins.

I have put Marner's value at
2 1st
Top 6 winger(some one who's best day are behind them but can still play in top 6 roll.)
Top 4 D.
Top prospect.

I am basing this off of what the Yotes are asking for Chychrun. But adding a little be more since marner is a better player and isn't injury proned.

Link to my previous Marner trade.

Let me here you're thought and if you think that's to much for Marner then counter back with with a general package.

Depends on the team you trade him to. You would get less from Montreal, but you would get better picks if that makes sense?

Wow , Marner is a prettty good player but I think you may have deluded yourself if you think he worth 2 top roster players, $9.4M in salary cap space and a big part of a team's future.
Very, very unlikey, for a player who only signed for less than 3 years before becoming a UFA, IMHO

But do you think what I'm asking is fair.
The 2 1st
A aging top 6
A good top 4 D
And prospect.

Could be, it depends on what the quality of the prospect. I made a joke ACGM with Marner going to SEA had a bit less but the players that were coming in had term.

The package from Boston is underwhelming though, Hall and Forbort are both 30, and have the same or less term as Marner. Beacher must be a top prospect and with the 2 1sts you get some nice value, but the roster players are probably not the right pieces. To make matters worse, the Leafs are sending Marner to a division rival. Perhaps the biggest thing they are getting is the cap space.

Yeah in the real world this trade never happens. I plan on doing a similar Marner trade with every NHL team. Boston is my most hated team so I wanted to get it out of the way early.

I think if it was DeBrusk instead of Hall it would make more sense. Boston is probably going to want to give up less though in terms of value. Perhaps Clifton instead of Forbort would be more suitable for the Leafs needs, not too sure though about him.

You might want to make the Marner trades only from the other teams side since you know well the Leafs cap situation and roster needs. The question will always be if the other team can fit Marner in the short and long term.

Hey yeah I like that idea, using the other team side. As you are right I know the leafs cap off the top of my head. As for the players I choose on Boston, this one was done a bit lazy. I really don't know anything about most of the Bruins players.

I'm going to put in more research time on my next marner trade.

I like Marner a lot but I couldn’t see Boston giving up a large package like that unless it was for a Center.

If Marner can play Center then by all means I’d do that trade
Marner at 9 mill, perfect set up guy for pasta and u26 so he has a future. Would make the bruins once again contenders for another 6+ years having a core of mcavoy/lindholm/pasta/Marner/Swayman. But again I don’t think Marner has much experience at C so they would most likely not do that
