I hope you all like this Armchair GM!! Feedback is always appreciated so my understanding of what's realistic and what's not can improve! I always appreciate suggestions on what I could've done differently with keeping the same spirit of the trades intact (Unless the response is there's no way this team would give up this player and a short explanation on why).

I intentionally left out pure Rentals at the Deadline because that's it's own thing that I think we're too early to really be able to tell yet. I hope you're all having a good day and once again I really appreciate Feedback so I can improve with my future Armchair GMs!

My first issue is that isn't enough for Marner. I'm all for trading Mitch but if all the leafs guy back was avg top 6 forward and a bottom pairing D man I would be calling for the Gm head.

The Chychrun is interesting but I don't see the yotes doing it as the have stated they want a D back.

As for the kings trade I don't have enough time before work to break that one down.

We give up the best player in the deal (a top-6 RW) and a second-round draft pick in return for two redundant rentals (one of whom isn't as good as four of our RhDs) and a prospect, when we have one of the best prospect pools in the league?

I don't think so.

We'll ride with FIala/Kempe and Moore at LW and Doughty, Roy, Durzi and Clarke at RhD and hope that at least two of Turcotte, Fa-gem-o, Helenius, Lee and Pinelli turn out better than Amirov.

If i were trading marner, i would want a player of similar ability, or potential. Miller just isn't that guy, and i'm not a huge fan of that contract. Canucks would have to add significantly, i really don't like this trade for the Leafs.

And why would LA trade Arvidsson and a 2nd for your scraps? Amirov is decent but the rest of the package isn't anything exciting.

Hes a top 10 scoring forward last year and he got top 35 money, how is that not a market or slightly below market contract?
