Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Depends on what you see wrong with the team.

I see a team that is so heavily weighted in cap hits, playing time, overly offensive system, below average defensively and goaltending - none of which fill me with the expectation of more than flaming out against more balanced teams.

Theres also reality, that Muzzin is not done and Murray/Liljegren will come off LTIR:

So with the aim of actually fitting under cap and trying to bring balance, WHILE acknowledging that Keefe will continue to overplay Matthews and other top 4 forwards and Holl.... Lets make a solid defense with balanced pairings, try and bring some youth and offense into lower lines AND fit under the cap.

EDM saves a bit in cap, gets an overpaid UFA, solid prospect and picks, TOR gets a more potent offensive player on a show me RFA deal
PHI doesn;t need/want Kerfoot, but wants the picks and hopes to move kerfoot at TDL. TOR gets a young 3C to bring some offense at its weakest position, and some beef (who while free on waivers a few weeks back, no one had the space and macewen is playing well and scoring)

Again, its 2 expiring UFAs for 3 younger players making less, trying to bring some offense to 3rd line and stay under cap, and keeping a solid/balanced defense

although frost hasn't proved much, I don't see Philly moving on from a past first-rounder. The price is probably right for puljujarvi, but I personally wouldn't accept it. Lw depth on Edmonton is too jamemd as of now.

I could see them do it, he's probably the guy highest on Tortorella's ****list and with Kerfoot coming back the other way they don't have to worry about the hole it makes long term.

I'd hang onto Ty Voit, really like what I'm seeing from him in the OHL as of late
