Gotta give it to Erik Karlsson, he has been bringing it all season. Too bad Sharks otherwise havent.
Its the kinda stats that make some GM with assets and a need to start thinking: "Is that contract so overprized and too long after all?" grin
#bobrovski+Lundell for Karlsson , anyone?

Devils been playing good lately. Dont really need spectacular goaltending when you constantly outshoot your opponents by a margin.
Still have a hard time seeing them succeed in the playoffs with such a young and "ungritty" team. Someone like the Bruins or Tampa would just outmuscle them behind quality goaltending.

The only good thing about Canucks hockey is watching Horvat beef up his trade value

I agree but lets see how they play against those playoff teams in the regular season (Oilers, Flames, etc). Devils could outmatch a team with their speed

Dont see anyone wanting Bobrosky. 10Mill for him to much

Could see teams have interest in Karlsson though especially if SJS willing to retain question is would he waive for said teams

who was doing the play by play with cassie (colour) on that ducks/sharks game? she was awful, i only watched the shootout and she said maybe six words total, so much dead air and no description of what was actually happening. poor cassie was dropping nice tidbits in the colour sections (like a classic colour bit, well structured and timed right to fill a gap) and was talking for way longer than the play by play person lol, she basically said "trevor zegras is up next *10 second pause while the shot is taking place* all square"

Who says no: Maple Leafs - Kings trade...

Sean Walker (RHD) in exchange for Pierre Engvall (LW) and a 2023 4th round pick. Kings save $400k in cap space and get out of the 2nd year of the contract at a position they have an embarrassment of riches. They can then avoid LTIR and accrue cap space towards the deadline.

Leafs get a top 4 RHD (albeit one coming off a major injury last year, but still 27 years old) that is defensively sound and make room on the roster for Robertson. It only uses up $400k of their LTIR pool ($5.2 est. remaining).

Leah Hextall would claim it’s hate for a female - but she’s just brutal (it’s Leah Hextall, I’ve memorized the voice).

Why can’t they get LITERALLY ANY OF THE OTHER OLYMPIC/ WC womens commentators. I’m glad Ottawa gets Cheryl Pounder.

Until I'm actually paid to comb the forums for petulant behaviour, I'm going to keep responding to things pushed through the report queue. This is ultimately a self-policed environment: if you guys want a better environment then steward it. Be it discussions, AGMs, whatever.

Every user wants these forums to be the pinnacle of hockey discussion but won't put in the time or effort to grow that kind of environment.

Edmonton can't afford the cap hit. Karlsson would be a fun piece for sure but between either Barrie and Bouchard, the Oilers blueline can move the puck. They need a better defenseman proper to replace Murray (a legitimate top-4 name would be excellent).

I like the idea of Gavrikov. Could probably pull Nyquist for some more depth too.

PHI vs TOR tonight

I predict Hart makes 50 saves for a shutout and PHI wins 2-0 to give some more juice to Toronto medias

My sleeper pick is VAN for EK65... toss out Myers, get like 4m retained on Karlsson w/ Arizona helping. Toss your 2023 van first and a spec to SJS (replacing Myers dead 6m for 7.5m Karlsson).

IMO they're a Darkhorse team.

Know what team really needs a quality puck-moving defender to bolster an up-and-coming young core set to be an annual playoff team?

Ottawa.

They've got prospects and picks to burn too. Send Zaitsev to sunny California and call it a day.

I DIDNT WANNA BE THE ONE TO SAY IT LOL

bro Dorian reacquiring EK65 would honestly be SO bad BUT SO GOOD. Karlsson's return game (went to the game) was awesome... if he came back to Ottawa; it would break the CTC.
