Nobody is passing up Bedard (or Mitchkov, Fantilli, or Carlsson) for Marner, Morgan or Matthews

Kings say no. They're not giving up their best prospect and a 1st for an $11 million crybaby.

Just keep up the current streak and Toronto can get Bedard with their own draft pick.

Matthews is 25... He's ENTERING his prime.

In their best case scenario you hope Bedard or Fantilli can basically turn into Matthews. So yeah, I think teams would be interested.

Kings will sign Mathews in 2 years instead. 😘

Detroit is short of forward prospects and is in no position to trade away good draft picks, regardless of what they'd be getting for them. Veleno and Söderblom are bona fide NHL-players and the three draft picks will also become NHL-players. Two years of Matthews when the team isn't ready to contend for a cup isn't worth giving up five players for.

Not, Matthews is a UFA in 2 years and carries a big cap hit for now. Every team will take the top 4 draft picks over Matthews for 2 years

And only has 2 YEARS on his contract then he's a UFA. Nobody with a top 5 4 pick is passing up Bedard, Fantilli, Michkov or Carlsson for 2 years of Matthews

News flash buddy - NOBODY has those picks yet. And they damn sure wouldn’t if they had Auston Matthews.

NEWS FLASH, any team that potentially is getting in the lottery this year, isn't going to give up picks for 2 years of Matthews UNLESS that are in position to compete for a cup and lottery picking teams generally aren't. Look at all the talent in Toronto and they still can't get out of the first round for 6 years in a row with Matthews...LOL. That should be a lesson that one player, even the best, doesn't change the outcome for a lottery team.

Bruh, what in gods name are you guys on? You guys literally make wings fans seems so dumb and delusional.

Toronto would NEVER do this trade. And you guys are rationalizing why you wouldn’t as Detroit? Are you guys ****ing nuts man? Jesus Christ.

Stop insulting other fans and think past your nose for 5 seconds. Matthews doesn't make the Wings a contender. The roster has too many issues for 1 forward to fix. Would you really want to trade 2 NHLers and 2 potential impact players for 2 years of, at best, getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs? Odds of Matthews staying in Detroit are virtually zero, so what would we really get here?

laugh Yeah because we would so much give up 20 years of control on both Raymond and Seider, For Matthews who would walk in 2 years. Get real. Not that dumb.
