Sucks that he’s injured right now - He reminds me of Pelech .

Yeah for sure and he’s such a good and smooth skater.
Pelech - Pulock
Romanov - Dobson
Salo - George
Bolduc

Is a fantastic potential d-group lol. Best case scenario though is Bolduc continues his crazy point total all year and gets packaged in a trade for an elite forward.

I also want to add that Aleksi Malinen have started good in Liiga this season also Eetu Liukas, he just recently was included in the Finnish men’s national team, which is a rare case and very unconventional thing for them to do. I’m very confident Liukas vill be an ok fourth liner in the NHL, very similar to Matt Martin actually.

I just don’t think bolducs offense will translate. Maybe I’m wrong, I just don’t see it. I would sell high

No I’m not that high on him either, don’t think his hockey-iq is great unfortunately, would love to be wrong though. I also want to sell high, a young, big and tall defenseman that’s producing points could in a package return something really nice.

yup, trade him in a package for someone who can play with barzal and wahlstrom. Speaking of wahlstrom, it's hilarious that it was talked up that he wasn't good enough to make the opening night roster and now he's arguably the best forward on the team

Yeah lol. I’m so happy to see him and Barzal together, I don’t even care Bailey’s with them, it could bee Komarov for all I care for now, just love to see them together. Imo Beau or Parise is the obvious choice of what we currently have. I’m very intrigued to see Iskhakov with them actually. I think he could potentially complement them perfectly, he would get so much space to be creative with Barzal, incredible skill, shame he isn’t faster though.

Yeah theyre both good enough to carry Bailey to the point where he doesn't look like a liability. Barzal just needs one player on his line who can capitalize on his skillset. Iskhakov would be interesting if he can successfully give and go with Barzal in the neutral zone. Yeah he's not fast, but he's has unreal 4 way mobility. He kind of plays like panarin, his IQ and agility makes up for the lack of straight line speed.

So far wahlstrom ranks 8th among all forwards in goals above replacement.

I didn’t like how Lambert treated him last night against Chicago, least ice time of all players, no he didn’t have a great game, but come on. He didn’t even get pp time. F that ****. Let him learn on the ice, I hate that s*** all coaches do this.

I’m giving lambert the benefit of the doubt for a few months.

Wahlstrom was on PP2, it’s just that PP1 usually stayed out for the entire time

He was replaced on pp2, at least from period 2 and 3, pretty sure about that, but could obviously be wrong.

I’m also giving Lambert the benefit of the doubt, I really like him and almost everything he’s done, particularly system-wise. This was more a critique of all coaches in the NHL in their handling of young players (except those who are elite players from the get go) the exception is Don Granato maybe lol.

yeah Lambert has at least been giving him 14-15 min some games. If the low ice time continues I would be disappointed but I can't see that happening.

For me it will be very interesting to see Wahlstrom’s ice-time tonight against St. Louis, considering he had a bad game against Chicago, will Lambert let him play 14-15 mins and just move on (which I believe) or will he channel his inner-Trotz and play him less lol.

Wahlstrom played 11 min but PP2 barely got any PP time. Bailey played 12:30 but hes on the PK

I thought he played well. Good neutral zone assist to Barzal on baileys goal. A couple of nice plays to extend possession in the ozone

Both him and Pulock have been Norris caliber at 5v5. It’s incredible.

What is your 'dream' (realistic) trade target for a top-6 forward?

1st, Dufour, Bolduc, Bailey for Meier only if returns to last years form and signs an 8-8.25 mill x 8. Not giving him close to his 10 mill QO

Probably mine as well, I watched him against Anaheim the other night, he was excellent and his tools would complement Barzal so well.
