You think Verbeek is on the hot seat?

But yes I’d most likely accept this deal

Trading for Tyler Johnson and putting him on the 4th line is just bad asset management, Johnson is like Zucker, really only good on the Top 6, if he can't crack it he's not worth much to your team

Your idea is just to fleece other teams? Have those GMs aren’t in the hot seat

Blues obviously pass. And it's quite premature to pretend Army is on a hotseat.

The value is good but with Groulx and Gaucher already in the system I'd want some different piece than Hallander. A RW like Legare would tempt me a whole lot more.

Agreed.

Jarmo isn't going anywhere. Team may be trash right now, but by and large GMJK has done a good job.

And you are trading for a guy you are putting on your top-line. He's gonna cost more than that.

If this is at the deadline, you get outbid immediately by a team offering a first+ for Gavrikov.

i gotta lot of questions about these values!!

-I think Poehling for Bortuzzo works in a vacuum, value-wise, but I don't know who St. Louis brings up to play RD3 if they trade Bortuzzo - which makes him more valuable to them than another 4C like Poehling.

-I don't see anything in this that makes sense for Toronto - you're giving them a mild upgrade from Gaudette to Archibald, I guess, and Ruhwedel is an affordable depth D, but I think Kerfoot to McGinn is a major downgrade for them - both in terms of the player, and in terms of term - I don't think they want to save that $750K enough to sign on for 2 more years of McGinn.

-Wow! This is terrible for Vancouver - Petry probably doesn't waive to go back into Canada, first off, but even then I don't see the value here. Garland is a strong middle-6 wing, Hoglander is already a solid middle-6er at 21 with more upside than Kapanen, and Vancouver doesn't need to move the last year of Ferland's LTIR contract. I would also question the wisdom of Vancouver trading youth for veterans when their team has looked a little less than playoff-ready so far this year.

-Nothing here for CBJ to make the deal. Blueger is a bottom-6 guy, Maniscalco is playing in the ECHL, and a 5th isn't enough for a guy who's probably their 2nd-best Dman currently. If they want to sell him off in his UFA year, they could easily top the Ben Chiarot package from last year (1st/3rd/solid prospect) - maybe even more based on his age and their ability to retain him down to $1.4M.

-Now this trade is an extreme tilt back the other way - why would you give up Dumo *and* a decent prospect in Hallander to get back a 7th D like Beaulieu? If you need to move Dumoulin's cap, I'm sure you can find a taker for his deal - at the very least, the team you've built right here has the cap space where you could fully retain him down and send him to some team at $2.05M and get *something* back, instead of sacrificing a prospect to get back a warm body.

-I'm not sure how I feel on this one - I don't think it makes sense to trade Legare for a guy that you're just going to stick on the 4th line; but I don't think there's enough here for Chicago to retain $2.5M this year and next. Both sides probably decline this one.

Eh, might do it, really not much of an argument not to.

Kind of seems like OP is just shipping out all the guys on the Pens he has problems with just so that he has new names to yell at each night.

The Anaheim trade might be the biggest head-scratcher to me here. Dumo's a perfectly serviceable player that Verbeek could flip out with retention for a decent return; but even if he flew out west and got lost in the Haunted Mansion on his first day in California, you still get a decent wild card prospect in Hallander and all you have to give up is a guy getting 13 minutes a night on your third pair. Sold!!!
