I mean SJ would take that, but what SJ wants is the trade value made up of prospects and picks. Shipping out their top guys means they're rebuilding and why would they want Nylander for rebuilding? Or maybe they flip Nylander to get the prospects/picks they actually want?

If I were SJ and see Toronto on the dialer I would'nt touch it even if they offer Tavares for Meier ... !! No one want leafs players this season, they don't have the balls to fight to another level.

Holl has been so bad I wouldn’t want to make that deal tbh.

Holl is the latest in a long line of TO players that gets blamed for everything regardless of if it's their fault. Like that goal in Anaheim where he fought hard to get back and Matthews coasted and his man scored. Holl gets the blame.

Last night he is about to give the puck back to Matthews who stutter steps at the Blueline before turning his back on Holl and it causes a turn over. Holl gets the blame. On the same shift Brodie does a back pass to no one and Holl gets the blame. It's just ridiculous.

I wouldn’t want to take that chance either way. Btw it would not shock me if Mayfield takes a discount to stay. He would probably end up on MSG with Hickey if he did lol.

I think Mayfield would be bad in TO anyways, he has no puck skills and when you ask a guy who doesn't handle the puck well to hold on to it and keep plays alive, you are asking for trouble. He'd end up killing plays constantly.

I mean, you can certainly make a move for futures, and probably should, but from a Leafs perspective (I'm not a Leafs fan) this team after the trades is worse in the short and long term.

I know, and I couldn't help myself. He's an NHL player so he has skills but he's more of a dump it out, and dump it in type of guy and that doesn't work with TO's system

Three years of the markedly superior Frank Vatrano, whom we pursued and signed, for one year of Pierre Engvall and a third-round draft pick?

How about Simon Benoit and our 2023 third-round draft pick for Rasmus Sandin?

Rielly seems to get a pass already...so yeah, Lilly or Sandin seem like the logical targets.

Some (a disgustingly large amount) people just don't like nice things.

Cue up the Sandin cap dump trades!

He hits people so he will be loved by that crowd. Liljegren will get dumpstered or it will be Rielly because he doesn't hit enough.
