No, he hasn't fallen off that much. Idk what it is with NSH fans, but Eky is one of our strongest D-Men.

That being said, I think I'd still take this trade.

He can play right, he just loses production when doing so.

Ekholm still plays really well. Honestly if we could trade McDonagh instead id do it but trade protections gonna make that hard. Ekholm can play either side but he does play better on the left side which makes sense as hes been there most of his career.

In terms of the trade, Nashville is gonna have to purge some cap in the offseason and in my opinion i think its time we realize this isnt a cup team as currently built and start a real rebuild to get away from the cycle of barely getting in the playoffs and pray we get a win or two.
