They should give him an 88m dollar deal.

By they I meant Boston, although even if Pasta was getting 12.57*8 in NJ he wouldn't truly be getting paid more than McDavid (or maybe he would but marginally), just would have a higher AAV for a few years.

This is kind of a joke of an offer for pasta. I could see him signing something like that in boston, but if he’s hitting the open market, with every team able to bid on his services, i think there’s a pretty decent chance he’s the highest paid player in the league.

At the pace Bratt's been playing at, he might be signing that Pastrnak contract

Just to add....why do some many fans think it so important to sign their own UFAs? Serverson will start an eight year contract at age 29....no thanks (from any team)
Devils certainly put themselves right at the cap with these proposal, which I don't know is so wise.

Super smart asset management to have 10 million 3rd pair and block your #2 OA pick from essentially ever playing

Do we think we are getting pasta? No. Do we like to think about getting pasta. Sure.

1. Nemec has to earn it
2. RHD are the easiest assets to move

You have RHD signed for 8, 5 and 4 years at a total of 19.4 million per year. His elc will be done before a spot opens up.

Horrible asset management. Your left side is also locked up for 5, 3 and 2 years.

Luke Hughes, holtz, mercer and more need new deals before any of these deals end

We can trade guys, including Nemec.

Almost every team is looking for RD. We have plenty. It’s no problem really.

doesnt matter its 8 years for an almost 30 year old no one is trading for that. its simply not how asset management is done, you dont sign someone for 8 years as a "stop gap". not to mention nemec "earning it" could straight up ruin his developement

Tell them to stop sending trades to NJD on ACGM then.

There is so much wrong with this statement, it’s hard to respond. First, read what I wrote. Second, asset management is not how GMs are measured. Third, must be from the Jeff Gorton school of development.
