Don’t bother going after him. Milano is better.

I'd give up a 4th, maybe a 3rd. Or a mid to low level prospect like Kody Clark or Riley Sutter with a late pick

You'll need to overpay because Habs won't be interested in another low pick or bottom 6 winger. They have too much already.

I just don't see an obvious match.

I would go with a B prospect like Brent Johnson (RHD) or Clay Stevenson (G). NCAA guys close to turning pro at positions of need for MTL.

then, if you don,t want to trade quality prospects for a diminutive PK specialist acquired by waivers, I can understand, but if you don't make an offer too good to refuse, MTL has no reason not to keep him.

WAS being in win now mode and trapped under the cap, I could see them doing that move.

Pitlick will be useful to Montreal once the logjam is unclogged. I wouldn't trade him.

Pitlick doesn't feel like an upgrade, rather more of the dime a dozen player the Caps already have quite a bit of. With MoJo, Milano, Protas, and others being just as capable as Pitlick, I don't see it being worth it, as while I don't think the price will be as high as Habs fans expect, it will likely be more than the Caps should consider. If the Caps look to make a move, I think it is much more likely to be for a genuine Top 6 Forward such as Meier or, for the right price, Tarasenko.

Could you link me the report? I've heard of something like that but haven't been able to find/read it. (Kind of want to make sure it isn't another one of those "rumors" about Samsonov to Montreal)

interesting. I've got to think its around Drouin rather than Dadanov, but the wording from LeBrun makes me think a move is unlikely to happen and that talks have stalled.
