Yeah edmonton passes.

Firstly we don't need offence like whatsoever so I really don't know where this idea that we do has come from.

Holland will use that package + a little more on Chychrun instead

I realize the pat kane buffalo fan boys on this site give off the impression that we long for Kane in a sabres jersey, but that is not a widely shared sentiment in the real world, especially at the cost of quinn.

Why would Buffalo give up Quinn and 2 2nds for Patrick Kane? They can sign him for free come July 1st 2023.

Even if Buffalo continues their stellar play, Adding Patrick Kane isn't making them legit cup contenders.

After the Debrincat trade, I’m not convinced Davidson can get a high end prospect in any Kane trade. I think it’s gonna be 1st 2nd cap dump to even the money and/or young NHL player (ie Raddysh)

I wouldn't give up a 4th for Domi, let alone a 4th, 2nd, and decent prospect

Quinn is a premium asset. And of course the 2nds are nothing to sneeze at either. I don't see any reality where it makes sense to include a player like Quinn (or Kakko from the team I follow most closely) for a rental who will be with the team 1 playoff run. If there is interest in extending Kane- that does change the logic a bit- but giving several years to a player who will start his next contract at 34 then turn 35 in November is a debate all to itself. For Buffalo- if interested in Kane as a rental- maybe the (2) 2nds? or maybe a 2nd and a 3rd with conditions to make either pick a 1st?? But any mention of Quinn- hang up the phone!

Chychrun has played just as much as Broberg this year. If they trade Broberg they do need a long term defenseman though. Edmonton doesnt have anybody who will foreseeable play 2LD other than broberg.
