It's going to cost a lot more than a 3rd to move Bailey.

no idea where people get this idea loll. Bailey is a solid player. He plays special teams and top line minutes and has looked quite solid. It is not going to cost "a lot more than a 3rd" to dump a year and a half of Bailey. A free agent of his caliber would cost around 4 mil, the extra one mil is not gonna cost more than a 3rd lol.

Isles wouldn’t be interested in horvat. Barzal and Nelson are the isles top 6 centers. No room for him

Dufour isnt getting moved in a trade like this. I think that the most realistic trade at this point is Pageau for Garland. It seems like both fan bases would support it. There is no room or need for Horvat on the island tho

Imo it’s a bad idea for Vancity

Garland for Pageau doesn’t really make sense for the Canucks imo. They give up the better and younger player. If they move Garland it should be for a RHD

-Horvat doesn't make a ton of sense on the Island when Barzal & Nelson are still under contract for 1C/2C. Garland could be an option, but I also don't think the JGP-for-Garland proposal makes a ton of sense for either side. I really don't think Vancouver and the Isles line up as trade partners - going back to the summer with the endless JT Miller proposals.

-Bailey shouldn't cost a ton to move this summer if the cap goes up as anticipated. As others have said, he's probably a $3-3.5M player getting paid $5M for one more year - if they really want to move him, I'm sure a team looking for a decent producing veteran leader would take him on for FC.

That trade does not really help Vancouver. This is just quantity and hardly any quality. Canucks trade by far the 2 best players in the trade for 2 worse players and only get a decent prospect and first for compensation?
