amirov was a top 10 caliber player who dropped due to off ice reasons. I think that he is definitely worth more than two picks in the mid to late 50s or early 60s in the next 2 and 4 years

He's the only forward from his draft in the top 20 to not play in the NHL with early injury issues and stuck in the unpredictable Russia. If Domi keeps his 50pt pace at 1.5M he is absolutely worth Amirov.

Not to mention he is devalued in the Leafs system sitting behind Robertson and Knies.

he wasnt injured lol, he had health issues. He had a brain tumor. He is finally back and playing solid in the KHL. he is super talented, moving him for 20 games of a rental is insane. Domi will not be expensive to get. Anderson+2nd+4th would probably be enough

https://www.markerzone.com/news/?55466&s=100 The tumor was still an injury that kept him off the ice and hurt his growth and it wasn't his only injury. I'm glad he's healthy and back playing but let's be honest and admit his value isn't where it was 2 years ago. That being said if it is gonna be Anderson plus picks then sure. Point is the Leafs' have the assets to acquire Domi and visualize how he would fit in the depth charts.

First I have heard about “off ice” issues. I believe the ding on him in his draft year was consistency issues. Almost similar to Lambert or Slafkovsky…in that it didn’t look the same for club team as it did on international team.

(He had health issues after his draft).

What’s this about Severson struggling? Apart from the 2nd period against the Flames he’s been perfectly fine. He’s actually managing to keep Brendan Smith’s from drowning atm which really isn’t a small feat.

I would definitely be interested in Amirov, but there are too many question marks surrounding him to value him this highly. CHI could very easily end up with nothing in this situation, but Amirov could just as easily end up being a steal if he bounces back from his cancer treatments and can still play at a high level. TOR is probably better off continuing to wait and see with Amirov.
