I kinda think Keller stinks and isn’t worth his contract. Just my opinion, but this is a massive overpay.

They're getting McBain too and dumping Bailey

He has 74 points in his last 78 games playing with Nich Schmaltz and Andrew ladd in Arizona

Bailey hasn’t played like a cap dump. A lot of Isles fans hate him for no reason whatsoever lol.

Didn’t play with Ladd as far as I’m aware.

thats a total of about 10 mil in cap space vancouver did this in the ekman-larson trade and cost them the 7th overall pick to move over 11 mil in contracts and id say keller is a better player so reasonable IMO

I really like all these massive trade proposals which ignore the obvious solution of calling one of the isles promising young forwards from Bridgeport.

He isn't a cap dump but in a cap flat world his contract is not a desired one. He's serviceable but in a world where Max Pacioretty has negative value...

Yeah but Vancouver took back OEL. If anything Arizona should’ve sent them a first round pick.

Pacioretty is injury prone. Lou won’t make bad decisions just cause CBJ and Vegas made poor choices in the off-season.

thats my point were taking on keller at 7plus for the next 6 seasons bails and beau for this and one more again fair IMO all the vancouver deals were expiring

Hard to call Vegas' decision poor - they're likely the best team in the league lmao

Terrible deal imo. Look at the **** Columbus pulled this off season and you can c why Lou wasn’t gonna dump Bailey lol. They got worse AFTER signing Johnny Hockey. Meanwhile Barzal has 14 assists passing to ”average forwards” because wing is the LEAST important position in hockey.

Teams can make a bad move and remain competitive. Isles
made the conference finals after that disastrous Toews trade.

Lol what are you on about now? I thought we were talking about Pacioretty, Vegas and the Islanders, what are you going on about?

Personally I wouldn’t want Keller at this price. Isles have their #2 forward of the future in Bridgeport, and they might have 4, 5 and 6 as well lol.

I brought up Columbus as another example of a team that moved contracts in a flat cap environment. Not that complex tbh.

Yeah it was a poor decision, but Patch got hurt. If he was healthy I’d rather have Patch than smith, but obviously that’s not how it played out.

Clearly I'm just not as smart as you seeing as I don't spend half as much on this site as you do. 3,600 likes in 11 months. Jeez man.

They're 11-2 without him, I think they're quite happy.

I got hurt in a mens league game. I couldn’t walk for six months due to an ankle injury. **** happens, but I had time to kill since I couldn’t work at an asphalt plant with one functioning foot.
