Keller is 24 and has been a hair under a PPG since last seaon playing with the likes of Travis Boyd, Nick Ritchie, and Phil Kessel as his most common linemates. He's carrying them much more than they're carrying him. McBain is a 22 year old C prospect who hasn't shown a -ton- yet in NHL games but I'd argue that's more on spending a lot of time with guys like Zack Kassian and Liam O'Brien as his wingers.

This doesn't get anywhere near Keller, I don't know why this is really much of a discussion. He's young enough and has enough term that he could conceivably be part of the next wave of contention in Arizona. Comparing it to the OEL trade doesn't make a ton of sense because Larsson was on the wrong side of 30 and was signed through his age-35 season - of course Arizona was interested in moving on from a guy that would be fully in his decline years by the time their rebuild is over.

Lots of picks, but really it's quantity for quality. Keller is a very good player and quite young in a bad team. The current Arizona GM seems pretty smart and willing to wait for a good deal before giving up. It probably cost one of your best prospects or a young player + first + something else + cap dump.
